Beautifully made violin by Maison Laberte around 1930, Mirecourt, France. The wood on top is regular medium grained spruce, the two-piece back is highly attractive and deeply flamed maple cut from the slab. The highly arche model features beautifully made flutings. The rvarnish is of an intense amber color over a yellow ground. This Marc Laberte violin is in perfect and completely undamaged condition. The sound dark and clear with a typical French note to it, the violin projects easily and is convenient to play.
