Boss FS-5U Momentary Foot switch (Unlatching)

The Boss FS-5U Momentary Foot switch is an unlatching pedal that was engineered to complement either electronic keyboards as a sustain pedal or for quickly engaging and disengaging effects processors.

The boss Fs-5u pedal is a solid addition to a stellar line up of stompboxes. The boss Fs-5u has a unique charm, it is only active for the duration of time that it is depressed. An example of its creative application would be the emphatic punctuation of specific musical phrases, during an instrumental solo, with a dramatic delay or reverb effect setting. Sometimes there is nothing that can do the job like a momentary switch.

Roland/BOSS offers two types of sturdy metal footswitches for different applications. The FS-5U (silver) is a momentary “unlatch”-type footswitch, and the FS-5L (black) is a latch-type footswitch with an LED to indicate status. Both footswitches can be connected using ordinary guitar cables.
