The 3 important characteristics of our used pianos

Good Tone
(1) rich bass tones,
(2) warm middle range, and
(3) clear treble notes.

Good touch
(1) Instant and sensitive response of piano keys
(2) quick repetition, and
(3) obvious dynamic control.

Low cost on piano maintenance
Our high quality pianos receive proper maintenance by our professional piano technicians. We provide at least 5 YEAR WARRANTY on our pianos. A piano that was manufactured with low quality materials and poor workmanship is always a poor investment, whether the piano is new or used.

How do we prepare our pianos?

A piano is a complex and highly mechanical instrument with over 8000 components. All these components must be fitted together accurately. Most of the components of the piano action and keyboard are adjustable in order that each key will have the same response as the next. Regulation is the aligning and adjustment of these components. It has nothing to do with tuning.

Regulate a preloved piano

To ensure that the best possible touch is maintained between a player and a piano, Action Regulation may be required on a preloved piano. We always ensure our pianos are checked and regulated before being sold. Every piano, no matter what make, new or used, needs this work to be able to reach its full potential. Maintenance costs are less and the piano gives a better performance than that of an unprepared piano.

Voicing on used pianos

The word “voicing” is a very general term given to a series of procedures used in order to condition the tone of the piano. Regardless of its original voicing, a piano will acquire a somewhat BRIGHTER tone with time, because the hammer felts will compact. Voicing is, to some degree a matter of preference. Some prefer a bright voicing, while others prefer a mellow sound. Therefore, depending on personal taste and the amount of use a piano gets, voicing may be required when the player feels the need.
