Proven Music Programs create World-class Musicians
Effective Methods!! Over the last 30 years, more than 50,000 Australian children have enrolled in Yamaha programs, while there are more than 5 million graduates of Yamaha programs in 250 cities of 42 countries all over the world. Yamaha Music
Education System was founded in 1954. Many of the Yamaha students have gone on to become professional musicians, teachers and composers. Our aim is for every student, whatever their aspiration, to gain a love of music and an interest in making music.
Keyboard Based Program! At Yamaha, we feel that the keyboard is the most appropriate instrument to begin on as it requires co-ordination from both hands, and students learn to read both treble and bass clefs. We have found that after learning on
a keyboard picking up another instrument is much easier.
Designed by Leading Educationists
Yamaha Music Courses is based on the concept of 'TIMELY EDUCATION'. Intensive worldwide research and study over decades by leading educationists, child psychologists and musicians confirm a direct relationship between the music learning ability of a child and his physical development. It has been observed that the development of children's hearing, finger muscles and vocal cord vary markedly at different stages of their growth. Children's sense of hearing develops most rapidly between the age of 4 and 5. Talking advantage of this development, Yamaha emphasizes ear training. Children are taught to sing songs within their voice range, to song selected songs in solfage, and are exposed frequently to keyboard music. Yamaha music program is especially designed to establish a firm and reliable foundation in music development.
